Gebet der hl. Edith Stein

Heilige Edith Stein, Teresia Benedicta a Cruce

Will Deine Führung nicht verstehn, bin ja Dein Kind.
Herr, laß geschehn, was Du willst: Ich bin bereit!

For English blog readers:

So far i couldn’t find this prayer in English. Therefore i tried to translate the prayer for you truly hoping to meet the original. Many thanks to benedictgal, a catholic US blogger (see link Lex orandi, lex credendi) for both revising my first translation and giving advice how to use ancient English terms such as “Thy”, “thou” etc.

A Prayer of St. Edith Stein, Teresia Benedicta a Cruce

Lord, let me blindly follow your ways,
As thy child, I do not want to understand your guidance.
Thou are the father of wisdom, thus, be mine.
Thou lead us through the night. Lead us to you.
Lord, let happen whatever thou wishes for I am prepared,
although thou never satisfy my life in these times.
Thou are the Lord of all ages. The “When” is thine.
Thy eternal “Now” will be mine.
Let all come to pass, as thou has foreseen.
If thou remind to sacrifice, then help me to fulfill!.
